Shankar IAS Academy has reaffirmed its status as a top-tier institution for civil service aspirants by delivering an exceptional result in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. As the Union Public Service Commission announced the final results on April 22, the academy celebrated the selection of 238 students across its centers who have made it to India’s prestigious civil services.
Out of the 1009 candidates who successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination, a significant number were mentored and trained by Shankar IAS Academy. Notably, 25 of the academy’s students secured positions within the Top 100 All India Ranks — including 10 outstanding women — underscoring the institution’s dedication to inclusive and high-quality education.
Among the top performers, Mr. B. Sivachandran led the pack from Tamil Nadu with an All India Rank of 23, also securing Rank 1 in the state. He had enrolled in the Mains and Interview coaching programs at the academy. Other impressive results include Ms. Monica R (AIR 39, Mains & Interview Programme) and Ms. Pavithra P (AIR 42, GSPCM Classroom Programme).
Further highlighting the academy’s national reach, Mr. Raj Krishna Jha, who participated in the Mock Interview Programme at Shankar IAS Academy’s Delhi center, secured an exceptional All India Rank of 8.
Tamil Nadu contributed 57 successful candidates to the UPSC list this year, with an overwhelming 45 of them having trained at Shankar IAS Academy — a powerful testament to the institution’s academic excellence and mentorship.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 journey began with the Preliminary Exam on June 16, followed by the Main Examination held from September 20 to 29. The Mains results were declared on December 9, 2024, and the Interview round was conducted between January 7 and April 17, 2025. The final results were released on April 22, 2025.
